Installation of Soundproof Doors

The heavy soundproof door is installed in a similar way to a normal wooden door. The water content of the sound proof interior door leaf is 6-12% and should not be brought to the site until the conditions are right. The wet trade should be completed and the building dried and returned to normal studio temperatures. Do not build or install the frame as the first fixture.

1. Check the dimensions of the door soundproof, frame and opening before starting the installation. Only skilled craftsmen can install it, as proper assembly of the door/frame is essential.

2. Between the frame and the support structure filled with mineral wool, the door frame should have a gap of up to 5 mm and be completely filled with a suitable mortar on both sides to a depth of 30 mm.

3. The weight of the sound proof door is usually heavier than most people. Larger sizes of doors should normally be handled by more than two people. The sound proof doors should be stacked on a flat, level surface with at least 3 equally spaced loads. Sound blocking interior doors must not be stacked on top of each other.

4. Decorative veneer doors should be protected to avoid glare to prevent discoloration. Complete installation instructions provide doorframe delivery.
